2. RUNNY NOSE & SNEEZING
These are very common with allergies. But runny nose and sneezing are NOT COVID-19 symptoms (a runny nose is rare). If you are sneezing and blowing, but aren’t experiencing any of the classic symptoms of COVID-19, there’s a decent chance that your spring allergies have arrived.
Spring allergies and their symptoms do not include a fever. You may feel flushed or warm from all the sneezing, but a temperature of any significance is not typical of allergies.
A classic COVID-19 symptom is a dry, uncontrollable cough. The postnasal drip of allergies can certainly cause a cough but it is not that dry, hacking kind. Usually, it is congested and full of mucus.
5. SHORTNESS OR BREATH: the symptom both can have in common
The shortness of breath that is very common with COVID-19. It comes on without warning and isn’t attributable to any other illness. It just appears with the virus. Being allergic and short of breath, on the other hand, is often because of nasal and sinus congestion or an asthma flare, which are not symptoms of COVID-19.
Nevertheless, being unable to take a good breath is always a reason for concern. If it persists, call your doctor.Leave a reply
